Other databases
Caché Monitor connected to other databases through bundled JDBC drivers: Microsoft SQL Server (including Windows authentication from 2.75), Microsoft Access via UCanAccess, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, H2, CSV files and Excel files. Driver versions are listed per release in the release notes.
Operating systems
Any platform with a suitable Java runtime: Windows, macOS and Linux. HiDPI and Retina displays were supported from the 2.x releases.
Current requirements. SQL DATA LENS bundles its Java runtime and runs on Windows 10, 11 and Windows Server (64-bit) without administrator rights; macOS and Linux builds are on the roadmap. It supports InterSystems IRIS and Caché and many other databases. See the SQL DATA LENS installation guide.
Frequently asked questions
Which Java version does Caché Monitor need?
Versions up to 2.74 run on Java 7 or higher. Version 2.75 (December 2015) and later require Java 8. Since 2.94 (January 2020) a private Java runtime is bundled, so no installed Java is required.
Which Caché server versions are supported?
Caché 5.2 and later. Caché Monitor shipped JDBC drivers for several Caché generations and, from 2.90, for InterSystems IRIS. Drivers for Caché 2009.1, 2010.1 and 2017.1 were removed in 2.93.
