Caché Monitor is the all-in-one tool designed for InterSystems Caché. It combines many tools with a smart SQL editor to provide easy access to the database for Caché developers, administrators and data analysts. Caché Monitor is like a Swiss army knife for InterSystems Caché: fast and very easy to use. But Caché Monitor can also connect to databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, MySQL and much more to fit your needs in a heterogeneous database environment.
Server Navigator: every namespace at a glance
In Caché Monitor's Server Navigator all namespaces of each Caché server are listed for easy navigation. There is no need to know the name of a namespace and no need to configure many JDBC connections, one per namespace, as with generic database tools. Servers are organised in groups, and connections to other databases sit in the same tree.
Drivers download themselves
When the first connection to a Caché server of a given version is required, Caché Monitor downloads the required InterSystems Caché database driver automatically in the right version from the web. No manual intervention is required. Later releases bundled the drivers for all supported Caché and IRIS versions.
The SQL editor
The query editor features SQL syntax highlighting, SQL code completion with context-sensitive information about database objects (also known as IntelliSense), code folding, a SQL history buffer for executed SQL commands, SQL code formatting, parallel queries, a graphical SQL execution plan with index and selectivity information for every index used in the plan, SQL abbreviations and much more. HiDPI and Retina screens are supported.
